Get Involved

Community MusicWorks depends on the support of our friends who share our belief in the power of music and musicians to transform a community. Please consider becoming a member of the Community MusicWorks family by getting involved in any of the following ways:

  • Participate in our after-school programs. You must be between 7-18 and a resident of one of the seven Providence neighborhoods that we serve.

  • Attend a Musical Workshop, Performance Party, Youth Salon, Fellowship Seminar, or Providence String Quartet performance.
  • Contribute cash or stock in support of our education and artistic programs.

    It is now possible to contribute to an endowed Community MusicWorks Fund at the Rhode Island Foundation. Please contact Heath Marlow, Community MusicWorks' Director of Development, or Pam Tesler Howitt at the Rhode Island Foundation for more information.

  • Sponsor a Performance Party, Youth Salon, Musical Workshop, Concert Trip, Providence String Quartet free community concert, or Phase II group activity.

  • Purchase a Community MusicWorks birthday calendar, Providence String Quartet recording, or advertisement in our season program book. (Distribution: 2,000)  
  • Donate stringed instruments, bows, instrument cases, music stands, and accessories for use by our students, or office supplies for use by our program and administrative staff.
