CMW Fellows in Concert
March 5, 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Fellows Jake Pietroniro and Kamyron Williams present an afternoon of music, spoken word, and coffee.
Art and music have the capacity to reflect and shape culture. Each work tells a story. In this event, we explore stories of resilience and solidarity.
The Fellows Concert program, curated by Teaching Artist Fellows Kamyron Williams and Jake Pietroniro, reunites the Fellows Quartet featuring Lara Madden and Kimberly Fang.
Works include Paul Wiancko’s flash-piece Maniacal Swing and Daniel Bernard Roumain’s tribute to Rosa Parks String Quartet No. 5. The Fellows also team up with Resident Musicians Sarah Kim, Jesse Holstein, and Miguel Vasquez for Tchaikovsky’s tour-de-force composition Souvenir de Florence.
This in-person gathering is co-hosted by former CMW board member and local artist April Brown and features readings and music by CMW alumni AlexisMarie Nelson, Liam Hopkins, and Natasha Rosario DeChambeau.
Join us for an afternoon of music, spoken word, coffee, and the fine company of friends.
