Community MusicWorks Players with Ken Ueno

Community MusicWorks, recipient of the prestigious MAP Fund Award, has commissioned UC Berkeley composer and Tuvan throat singer Ken Ueno to write “Four Contemplations,” a work for Throat Singing and String Orchestra, for the commemoration of RISD Museum’s restored Dainichi Nyorai Buddha. The weekend’s events begin with a timed-ticketed experiential event in the gallery itself and end with a full performance of the piece in RISD’s Metcalf Auditorium.
