This January, we’re launching Lab Concerts, a new series that invites you to join us in exploring fresh dimensions of the concert experience. As we kick off the New Year, the concert space becomes a place for experimentation and discovery, where music unfolds in both familiar and unexpected ways.

Join us as we transform the CMW Center Performance Hall into a creative playground!

For our first Lab Concert, MusicWorks Collective teams up with award-winning director Brian Mertes to reimagine the chamber music experience. Every art form has its own rules, and in this performance, performers and audience alike embark on a journey of discovery, blending the sensibilities of theater and music.

Featuring works by Caroline Shaw, Aleksandra Vrebalov, J. S. Bach, the Danish String Quartet, and original music by the ensemble, this concert experiments with a bold new arc of performance, where boundaries are explored, and surprises await.
