SUMMARY:Songs of Refuge
DESCRIPTION:Songs of Refuge is a concert celebrating the vitality of Providence’s resettled communities through music and storytelling.  \nIn this special event\, the MusicWorks Collective\, in partnership with Dorcas International of Rhode Island\, the Refugee Dream Center\, and PVD World Music\, collaborates with guest artists of Colombian\, Sudanese\, Burundi\, Congolese\, Afghan\, Iranian\, and Ukrainian heritage\, sharing traditional music and personal narratives. The program is united by the common language of music while also celebrating the joy and solidarity of community.  \nThis concert is held in conjunction with World Refugee Day and is supported\, in part\, by The Rhode Island Foundation and the City of Providence Department of Art\, Culture\, and Tourism. \nSongs of Refuge\nSaturday\, June 17 at 4:00 pm\nCalvary Baptist Church\n747 Broad Street\, Providence\, 02907\nAdmission is free
