Sonata Series #1

The Sonata Series features MusicWorks Collective musicians with guest pianists presenting works from the duo sonata repertoire. Together, musicians explore pieces from the 17th and 18th century masterworks to contemporary works. This year’s programs include works by Bach, Beethoven, Debussy and American composers: Aaron Copland, Rebecca Clarke and Amy Beach.

For this first event of the series, Minna Choi and Sebastian Ruth perform Andre Cormier’s Scattershot Beethoven and cellist Adrienne Taylor performs Beethoven with guest pianist Andrei Baumann.
