Paul and Josh’s Recap, 4-5-10

So Henry had a plan for today: He asked Paul and I to bring in songs we would like to replicate so we could learn more about how the music we like is put together. So we did so, we brought music from artists such as Kanye West to a producer called Flying Lotus. Henry taught us how some producers would do make this music in Logic Pro. Going over Flying Lotus for example he explained how he created drum loops. We then started to go into the EQ, which is a equalizer, and learned how to make emphasis on a bass line. We also learned how to make the bass pitch higher.
